The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, a premier institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has invited applications for the post of Project Officer – Field (Health) under the Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI), Wave 2.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates in AYUSH and Dental streams (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BDS) to contribute to India’s largest ageing research survey, with hands-on field-level research and public health monitoring experience.
🏢 About IIPS
The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) is an autonomous organization under the Government of India, located in Mumbai. It is globally recognized for demographic research, public health studies, and population-based surveys including NFHS, DLHS, and LASI.
🔬 About LASI (Longitudinal Ageing Study in India)
LASI is India’s first and largest study on the ageing population. It focuses on the health, economic, and social wellbeing of India’s elderly (aged 45 and above). The project is conducted in partnership with Harvard School of Public Health and University of Southern California, with IIPS as the nodal agency.

💸 Salary
- ₹50,000/- per month (Consolidated)
- No additional allowances provided.
✅ Essential Qualifications
- BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BDS degree
- Minimum 1-year experience in health-related Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems
- Experience in public health, clinical research, national health systems, or health policy
- Understanding of quantitative research methods and biomarker data collection
- Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
💡 Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of indicators and measurement in health M&E
- Experience in clinical diagnostics during field surveys
- State language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
- Strong communication in Hindi, English, and regional languages
