What is CRAV Course?
CRAV stands for Certificate of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth. It is a one-year full-time clinical training coursedesigned to provide advanced hands-on experience to Ayurveda doctors after completing their BAMS degree.
Under this program, selected candidates are trained by experienced Gurus (Vaidyas with more than 20 years of practice) in different clinical specialties across India. The training follows the classical Guru–Shishya Parampara, ensuring deep practical exposure rather than classroom-based teaching.
At the end of the successful completion of the course, candidates are awarded the CRAV Certificate by RAV.
About Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV)
Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, New Delhi is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. It is fully funded by the Central Government and works to preserve, promote, and advance traditional Ayurveda education and clinical practice.
RAV conducts CRAV as a training and educational program, not as a degree or employment course.

- Qualification: BAMS (Ayurvedacharya) degree from a recognized university.
- Internship: Must be completed on or before 25.01.2026.

- BAMS: Max 30 Years (Born after 25.01.1996)
- MD/MS: Max 32 Years.
- Relaxation: OBC (+3 Yrs), SC/ST (+5 Yrs)

Training & Assessment During CRAV Course
CRAV students are assessed through multiple components:
- Internal Assessment
- Theory Examination
- Monograph submission
- Special Case / Drug Report
- Viva Voce
Final certification is awarded only after satisfactory performance in all components.
Important Rules to Remember
- CRAV is full-time; private practice or job is not allowed
- Training requires 6 days per week, 8–10 hours daily
- Transfer of Guru or training centre is not permitted
- Candidates who already completed CRAV cannot apply again
