This scheme is designed to support MD/MS (Ayurveda) scholars of the 2024-25 admission batch by providing financial assistance up to ₹1,00,000/- for their thesis research.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the PG-STAR 4.0 scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Admission Batch: Must belong to the Ayurveda MD/MS admission batch of 2024-25.
  • Institution: Must be studying in an NCISM/GoI recognized College/Institution.
  • Synopsis Approval: The 1st-year MD/MS synopsis must have been approved by the affiliated university.
  • Nationality: Open to Indian nationals only.

3. Application Process (Step-by-Step)

The application is entirely online. No hard copies will be entertained.

Step 1: Online Registration

Both the student and the corresponding guide must register on the official portal pgstar4.ccras.org.in between 01-01-2026 and 15-01-2026.

Note for Guides: Only 2 students are allowed to work under one recognized guide for this scheme.

Step 2: Nomination by Institute

The Head of the Institution must nominate deserving proposals (up to 10% of total annual PG strength) via a single Recommendation Letter (Annexure II format). This must be emailed to pgstar.ayu@ccras.nic.in by 12th Jan 2026.

Step 3: Submission of Proposal

Selected students must submit their approved synopsis and research proposal online via the portal between 16-01-2026 and 30-01-2026.

4. Selection Criteria

Selection is based on merit and evaluation by a Technical Evaluation Committee. Key factors include:

  • Innovativeness of the research topic.
  • Relevance to current healthcare needs.
  • Translational Value (practical application).
  • Preference may be given to domains like Standardization, Safety Assessment, Techno-innovation, and Public Health interventions.
