AIAPGET Exam Date, Syllabus Details, application process

The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of AYUSH. Since 2019, NTA has been responsible for organizing this exam to ensure a fair and standardized admission process for postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) disciplines.

The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), established under the NCISM Act, 2020 (No. 14 of 2020), governs the examination regulations. The official Gazette notification was published on 21st September 2020, making NCISM the statutory body for regulating AYUSH education and professional standards in India.

👉 As per the NCISM National Examinations Regulations, 2023, the AIAPGET (All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test) will be conducted in April every year. This means that AIAPGET 2025 is scheduled for April 2025.

Application Fee for AIAPGET 2025

Candidates must pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI during the registration process. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria for AIAPGET 2025

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to appear for AIAPGET 2025:

  • Candidates must possess a BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS/Graded BHMS degree or a Provisional/Pass Certificate recognized under IMCC 1970/HCC 1973/NCISM 2020/NCH 2020 Act.
  • Candidates must hold a permanent or provisional registration certificate from CCIM, CCH, NCISM, NCH, or a State/UT Board.
  • Completion of a one-year compulsory internship is mandatory. Candidates who are likely to complete the internship before 30th June 2024 may also apply.
  • Candidates completing the internship after the cut-off date will not be eligible.

📌 Important: Candidates must submit their original Internship Completion Certificate at the time of counseling.

Eligibility for Candidates Already Pursuing PG

  • Some universities do not allow candidates already enrolled in a PG course to apply for another PG seat until they complete their current program.
  • Candidates applying for All India Quota or State Quota must confirm eligibility conditions with their university before applying.

Reservation Policy for AIAPGET 2025

The reservation policy for AIAPGET is as per the Government of India guidelines:

OBC-NCL (Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer) 27%
Scheduled Caste (SC) 15%
Scheduled Tribe (ST) 7.5%
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) 5%

Important Notes on Reservation:

  • Only Indian nationals can apply under the reserved categories.
  • Candidates claiming OBC-NCL/EWS reservation must provide a valid certificate as per government norms.
  • PwD candidates must meet the disability criteria specified by the NTA/NCISM/NCH.
